Another great season for the KCC Season has been capped off with A-Grade and C-Grade winning their titles.
The A's travelled to Nagambie and batted first. An extremely modest score of 142 all out didn't look anywhere near enough runs. Robert Parkinson top scoring with 31 runs. At stumps on Day One, a vital late wicket gave hope with Nagambie resuming at 1-22. Day Two twisted and turned with wickets falling at regular intervals. Nagambie at one stage requiring 37 runs with 5 wickets in hand. An amazing effort from Man of the Match Brenton Hanson (5-61 off 27 overs) and Rod McLeod (3-18 off 18 overs inc 8 maidens) pulled the game right back into the balance before Rhys Frost bowled the 10th wicket with 6 runs remaining.
The C's hosted Eastern Hill and were put into bat. A huge score of 84 from Nick Simons provided the base of the 8/167cc. This being despite the team struggling at 5/60 at one point. A polished performance with the ball saw the C's dismiss Eastern Hill for 113 with Dale Keenan (4-11 off 7 overs) and Ben Bryant (3-2 off 3.3 overs) doing the damage.
Great Work by all players!
